We wish to recruit a senior consultant to strengthen our provision of advice to clients and to help lead and manage Quotec’s expansion. Ideal candidates will have a scientific degree (possibly Ph.D.); a background in technology exploitation or knowledge exchange and innovation in industry and a strong network in health and/or materials/engineering, which can be levered in growing Quotec’s business.
Requirements:
Good project management skills, able to work both independently and as part of a tightly focused team on a variety of complex projects delivering high quality work, often against short deadlines.
A proven ability to win new work. Creating leads/opportunities and closing deals is essential.
Good contacts and networking ability.
Good analytical skills, including original thought on difficult topics where new creative answers are needed.
Good communication skills, especially in one-to-one and one-to-few client meetings concerning technology where listening/reviewing and reacting with positive ideas are needed instantly; and good writing skills for reporting and for proposal generation.
Good people management skills, including staff and subcontractor/associate management.
Enjoyment in building relationships with clients and prospects at a senior level, and with internal teams to support business development and project delivery.
Comfortable working within an ISO 9001 quality system with a strong focus on client service.
Applicants may already be working in a consulting environment or may be in a public or private sector role with a technology dependent organisation. The job holder will be expected to be based in our Amersham office, but with significant working at client premises and some opportunity to work from home.
Remuneration is dependent on experience and will not be a barrier to the right candidate. There are medium term opportunities to achieve a senior management/Board position.
