Proposal Development Workshops

Bringing together all the partners in a proposal in a structured and interactive workshop is a highly constructive way to take an early stage concept and develop it into a practical plan that will generate a strong proposal for funding. The focus of these workshops is to develop a clear and shared understanding of the aims and objectives of the planned proposal. This allows the consortium to build on its strengths and address areas of potential weakness, and leads to the distribution and management of the writing activities.

Quotec manages the workshop process, capturing key information and filtering it into an early stage working proposal plan. Partners can then develop this plan into a complete and final application. We can guide consortium partners using our experience of writing and editing proposals, and of evaluating and managing the writing process.

Workshops enable consortium partners to:

  • Refine their concept and identify the scientific and technological objectives of the project
  • Identify limitations in the the current state of the art and how the project will advance and contribute to it
  • Identify areas of the application that need additional effort
  • Develop a work programme for research and development activities, as well management activities
  • Identify technical risks and develop a working contingency plan
  • Recognise gaps in skills and resources to deliver the project and identify new partners
