Idea Generation Sessions

Quotec have significant experience in facilitating structured brainstorming sessions with client based research teams to generate innovative ideas that can meet EU funding requirements.  Concept generation is best undertaken as soon as the call specification has been released – often using early drafts as they become available. The process focuses on generating concepts that are novel and that can be developed to deliver tangible results, including socio-economic, technological, and environmental benefits.

The ideas generation process involves:

  • Recognising current problems and limitations in technology and knowledge
  • Identifying prospective solutions
  • Understanding the advances that will be made from the current state of the art
  • Identifying the potential impact of the prospective ideas
  • Mapping ideas generated onto the opportunities presented by specific Calls for Proposals
  • Mapping ideas generated onto the client’s R&D strategy

The output from the brainstorming session is a list of early stage concepts which are ranked for their potential to help deliver the client’s R&D strategy and for the fit with the requirements of the funding call.
